5. Inle Lake

Inle Lake is one of the best attractions that you should not miss in any holiday to Myanmar. Located in Shan State, Inle Lake could allure any travelers with its breathtakingly poetic scenery and the unique way of living of local people here. Traveling along this peaceful lake, you will have chance to see the lovely floating villages, which are buit on stilts, and floating gardens, which are anchored to the shore with a long bamboo pole. It is so adorable to see vegetables growing vividly in the floating garden, which makes the river more lively and beautiful. If you decide to choose Inle lake as one of the destinations in your Myanmar vacation package, then prepare to wow with the unique leg-rowing technique of fisherman here. The thing I like most when having a holiday here is to try the tasty fruits which are sold along the river and see the sacred pagodas and temples engulfed in the mysterious light of dusk.

4. Taung Kalat

The next destination I want to recommend to anyone preparing for Myanmar holiday package is Taung Kalat – a Buddhist monastery built on the peak of an extinct volcano plug. From a distant, it looks like a castle built on top of a skyscraper. Travelers have to cross 777 steps to reach Taung Kalat, however the panoramic and astonishingly stunning view from the peak of Taung Kalat is really worth the effort. You can see ancient Bagan and Mount Popa from here: everything is seemingly in your palm. Along the way to Tang Kalat, you will see a lot of monkeys, which makes me feel like this monastery is guarded by those monkeys. Therefore, remember to prepare yourself for the monkeys’ attacks.

3. Shwedagon Pagoda

In the third place of the top ten attractions in Myanmar holiday packages is Shwedagon Pagoda, which is believed to be the most sacred place in Myanmar. It is also known as the Great Dragon Pagoda. Local people here believe that this is the place storing the relics of the four previous Buddhas. Your eyes will be dazzled by the glittering golden light of this pagoda, since it is paved with genuine gold. On top of the pagoda is the umbrella crown which is tipped with thousand diamonds and rubies, making the whole pagoda awe-inspiring and outstandingly splendid. In this amazing pagoda, you can also find hundred Buddhist statues and stupas. When having a tour to Shwedagon on your holiday, remember to follow the dress code of the pagoda and enter it barefooted.

2. Golden Rock

Golden Rock, which is also known as Kyaiktiyo Zedi, ranks the second place in this ranking board of attractions in Myanmar vacation packages. It takes five hours driving and a long walk to travel from Yangon to this site. The sight of Golden Rock is awesome: a small pagoda is located on the top of a huge gold-covered granite boulder. Again, the gold leaves using to paving the whole pagoda is geniune. The balancing rock is believed to be attached to the ground by a strand of Buddha’s hair, thanks to that it was able to stand still even though the rock is placed defiantly on the verge of the cliff.

1.Bagan

Bagan is a must-go destination that anyone who has been on Myanmar holiday package should know about. In Bagan, you can find multitude of Buddhist temples, pagodas, ruins and statues. Each building has its own shape and construction which plays an important role in spiritual meaning. This city used to be the capital of the Kingdom of Pagan until the 14th century. Tourists usually refer to Bagan as “Angkor Wat of Myanmar”. Bagan will leave in tourist strong impression about the spire-fringed skyline, the imposing pair of stone lion at temples’ door, the tall palmyras and exotic cotton trees, etc.
