Start your tour in Bangkok, move to Khao Yai National Park, Nakhorn Sawan, Doi Inthanon National Park and Chiang Mai. Your tour will then finish in the bustling capital city of Bangkok.

Description: You’re interested in national park, birdwathching, wildlife… this 7 day tour of birdwatching in the Central and Northern Thailand will give you all. Start your tour in Bangkok, move to Khao Yai National Park, Nakhorn Sawan, Doi Inthanon National Park and Chiang Mai. Your tour will then finish in the bustling capital city of Bangkok.

Day 1: Bangkok/Khao Yai National Park (L, D, G)

Pick up at your hotel at around 06.00 for the 2-hours drive to Khao Yai National Park. Breakfast enroute before heading out to Khao Khieo mountain, an area dominated by hill evergreen forest above1,000 m. After lunch, set out on a roadside birding tour in the area of the headquarters and take a short easy walk through the grassland habitat of Nong Phak Chi for birding and on the lookout for some of the other wildllife that inhabits the park. Possible sightings include Wild Dog, Sambar Deer, Stock billed-Kingfisher, Bright-capped Cisticola, Hill Myna and Wreathed Hornbill. After dinner, we head out on a nighttime spotlighting trip on the look out for deer, civet, porcupine, slow loris and possibly elephant.

You’ll spend the night in Khao Yai National Park

Day 2: Khao Yai National Park (B, L, D, G)

Spend the morning birding in some of Khao Yai’s best evergreen forest. Look out for Red-headed Trogon, Slaty-backed Forktail, Blue Pitta, Greater Flameback, Dusky Broadbill, Banded Broadbill, Blue-winged Leafbird, Green Magpie, White-crested Laughingthrush and many more. Reach the bats cave where you will see miilions of bats along with the raptors.Back to your resort around 19.00pm.

Day 3: Khao Yai National Park/Nakhorn Sawan (B, L, D, G)

Spend full morning birding in the outer area of the national park and start driving to Nakhorn Sawan which is the gateway to the northern part. Stop for birding en route. Reach the resort late afternoon, have short rest and head out for exploring the city if time permits carry on birding. Have dinner and drive back to the hotel. You’ll spend the night in Nakhorn Sawan.

Day 4: Nakhorn Sawan/Doi Inthanon National Park (B, L, D, G)

Today wake up early morning for half day birding in the Bung Boraphet area, see some water birds and shoreline species.Have lunch and start driving to Doi Inthanon.Continue your birding trip to the Doi Inthanon national park. Reach your resort around 1930.Have dinner and get to bed.

Day 5: Doi Inthanon National Park (B, L, D, G)

Head into the national park for full day birding.Start birding on the lower slopes, birds to look out for include wintering species such as Grey Bushchats, Siberian Rubythroats, Buff-throated, Radde’s and Yellow-streaked warblers and a few Little and Chestnut Buntings. Buzzards and occasional Grey faced Buzzard may also be found.Exit the forest around 1800pm for the transfer back to your resort.

Day 6: Doi Inthanon National Park/Chiang Mai (B, L, D, G)

Today enter the forest and drive up to the highest portion of the park, the summit species include Red-flanked Bluetails, White-tailed and Ashy-throated leaf-wablers, together with wintering Orange-barred leaf-warblers. Flocks of Scarlet Rosefinches are often present and frequently contain occasional surprise visitors, such as the Dark-breasted Rosefinch. Exit the forest around 1700 for the transfer to Chiangmai.Reach Chiangmai and head to night Bazaar for dinner and see the handicrafts.

Day 7: Chiang Mai/Doi Suthep/Bangkok (B, L, G)

Have breakfast at the resort and drive to Doi Suthep to explore the beautiful temple following the birding activity in the area.After Lunch start driving back to Bangkok. Reach bangkok around 2100pm.Transfer to your bangkok hotel.End of our services.( Can spend few days more on your own in Chiangmai)
